Almost 3 weeks since my arrival in Auckland. I've pretty much settled down, which in other words means that life falls back into routines. Though with hip/evil lecturers who crack jokes and make even the most boring subject interesting, it's no wonder that I'm enjoying all my lectures (let's just forget momentarily about the bulk of assignments/readings I'm getting XD).
It's a blessing to be able to study in this lovely "Big, Little City", as almost everything's within walking distance. For instance, the Art Gallery's a 10-min walk away from my hall, add another 5 for the shopping district - Queen St, and 20 mins for the Domain. Crazy, right? There's always something exciting to do/see, but I have too little time to explore the city (!!!!)
Joke of the day:
Halfway through my POPLHLTH lectures, 2 students intrude into the lecture theatre. What happened was that they walked casually around the lecture theatre, as if they were sauntering in the park. One of them was even munching on a piece of toast the entire time! Naturally, everybody cracked up and when they left, our lecturer was like, "That was quite a distraction, but well... :)".
On the other day, another 2 students wearing masks intrude into the lecture theatre halfway through lectures as well, with posters stuck on their bodies to promote activities. Of course, that lit me up instantly. Gotta love their sense of humour.
I suppose people don't get these surprises from where I came from, no? ;)
Picx time! Yay!
